to be fair, liam neeson does what he can to make me not openly mock qui gon right off the bat. but once i realized that he was hobo jesus, i couldn't take him seriously anymore. i mean, i understand that ben kenobi in episode 4 looked like a cranky hermit because that's what he ended up as. but all of the jedi dress like they were thrilled to use the truck stop showers?

"i'm not here to free slaves"?! why the fuck not? i think that it's that type of thing that jedis are supposed to be doing. and would it have really been that big a deal to just grab ani's mom on their way out? the flying bug slave owner was already bummed about losing his only mechanic, would he have been any sadder if the mom took off too?
